What people are saying about Brian Michael Smith…

Mrs. Mary Logan So, recent bride

“Oh, what a night” it was indeed. I wanted to express my sincere thanks for a job done flawlessly at my wedding on Friday, May 8, 2009. After previewing The Brian Michael Smith Orchestra online at Class Acts, I knew that it was the perfect fit for our wedding. In my experience, sometimes the performers don’t meet the expectations of the recordings, but I can tell you that no recording matches the true talent of Mr. Smith.

Brian set the tone for our wedding and expertly carried the entire evening through all of the moments we wanted to share: dancing with our parents, making the toasts, thanking the guests, etc. He knew the right time for each item and perfectly bridged the gap between each event. The musicians were wonderful, the songs and vocal performance superb. I would send them my highest recommendations.

Our guests had a wonderful time, and they are still talking about the music. I think being able to entertain an 11-year old and being able to entertain an 81-year old shows true talent. My cousin, Georgie, only 11, told her mother that “she wanted the ‘band’ to perform for her wedding when she grows up. They were just elegant.” My grandmother, who only promised to stay for the first song, as she’s elderly, didn’t leave until nearly 11 p.m. She couldn’t get away from Brian’s voice and how much it reminded her of dances she and my grandfather had gone to before he died. She told me that Brian should make a record. She’d listen all day.

Charlie and I were both absolutely thrilled with Brian’s performance.  We really enjoyed the atmosphere the group provided and received many compliments from our guests.  They were extremely professional and skilled and very friendly to work with.  We really thank you for the recommendation!  The group provided the perfect atmosphere for our event.
Sammy Cahn, Lyricist for countless Frank Sinatra songs

I am listening to you sing as I type this and well, all I can say is, “YOU ARE A PROPER SINGER!”…I am sure that anyone who hears what I heard will have to agree that you are a marvelous singer, and I would be the first to recommend you…Keep singing – BECAUSE YOU CAN SING!

A Tribute to Frank Sinatra, Midland Theatre, Newark Ohio

With a velvet voice and Sinatra like mannerisms, (Brian Michael) Smith made you feel as if you returned to those magical years.  Smith takes you on a journey back to an era that much of today’s modern music has been built upon.  As the crowd was entertained with an assortment of ballads, melodies and instrumentals, you were certain that “Old blue eyes” was saying, “It don’t get any better than this!  Hey, man there’s old Tommy Dorsey, and will you listen to Smith belt out those notes.”

Hopeful Romantics, the Songs of Barry Manilow, Manhattan, NY

Showcased by some incredibly talented performers including Brian Michael Smith….the piece de resistance came with a very powerfully simplistic killer medley: “When Will I See You Again/For Myself/When October Comes” sung with tenderness and tearful poignancy by Brian Michael Smith, Marilyn O’Connell and Sally Ries.

David S. Owen, BEXLEY NEWS

Lead singer (Brian) Smith…has the striking voice, swagger and look of a member of the famous Rat Pack.
